Pros, Cons and Considerations
My wife and I went on the search for a new blender when our old trusty beast gave up, it was a good one but it couldn’t handle the amount of use we were giving it. We searched online for a while and also visited a number of home appliance shops to get an idea of what was out there. Thru all our research we came to the decision that the NutriBullet Rx was one of the best available and it was at a really good price in comparison to a number of other options with similar specifications and functionality.
Our main purpose for a blender in our kitchen is for healthy smoothies consisting of, fruits, vegetables, nuts, supplements and frozen items. The power that this blender provides makes quick work of these ingredients, 99% of the time there isn’t an item left that is not blitzed to the consistency required.
During our research we found some comments by other people that this blender made things too smooth, however, over time we have mastered a little technique of just removing the jug from the blender before it has finished its cycle and this solves that issue. Yes, in the manual it says you can remove it before the cycle finishes.
Along with its brilliant functionality, it is a very stylish piece of kitchen equipment. Sleek and coloured to match almost every kitchen. It is not too big that it can’t be stored away in a cupboard easily as well. Super easy to clean and maintain, actually, maintenance is next to none basically.
The blender does the thinking for you as well. When the jug is placed in the base the motor starts automatically and has its own timer, judging the length long and speed required to blend for the best and most nutritious results.
If I was going to say anything negative about the NutriBullet Rx blender, it would be about the noise that it makes, it is loud, louder than other blenders we have had, but it blends quick and over time we have become rather used to the noise level of it, so not really an issue for us.
As for the price, well, it is a little more expensive than a number of blenders, but there are also blenders that are a lot more costly than this one, actually had a cafe style industrial one for a while, and yet they all eventually failed.
The Rx extractor blade in this blender extracts fruits and vegetables to a liquid consistency without eliminating the essential fiber or nutrients. We know from research that it is healthy to consume 5 servings of fruit and vegetables daily, this blender is a perfect option for achieving this as you can almost do that in one sitting, and you’ll also keep all the whole goodness of those ingredients as well.
The company (sometimes referred to as Nutrabullet) present their machines as “Nutrient Extractors”, which they claim break down the ingredients so you get to the cellular level where the nutrients, vitamins and minerals are released for easier absorption by your body.
More Than Just a Smoothie Maker
Even though we use it for smoothies, it is brilliant for soups and sauces as well. When we first got ours we tested the soup mixer out and were quite impressed indeed. We don’t eat a lot of soup in our household so not a common use, but we know it works and works well.
The Souper blast pitcher will make your soups in just 7 minutes, at a certain stage in the process the base motor will slowly heat your ingredients.
Conclusion and Where To Buy
There you have it. My honest review on the NutriBullet Rx Blender. It will make you a healthy smoothie, whip up soups of your choice and even sauces. When you buy the blender in the package deal it comes with a recipe book also for a bonus. Simple and easy to use, no thinking involved for length of blending time needed. You will save money by not having to buy juices and when you make your own you know exactly what ingredients are going in to it as well.
I have found a great price for the NutriBullet Rx on Amazon also, you can go to the site directly by clicking on the link or the picture to the right and check it out. Lots of reviews also for you to read. I would love to hear any comments you have about this blender or others so please comment below as well. Thanks and enjoy.
